The weather indicator in the sidebar gets it’s info from the weather station at our international airport which is down by the Inlet. Needless to say, it doesn’t often reflect *exactly* what’s going on here near the mountains across town.

Today is a scorcher for us! The thermometer is reading 80°F in the shade so you know it must be 85°F or more in the full sun on our deck. You walk outside and you get blasted. There’s a breeze but it’s a warm one. Wow! I’m sweating but not complaining! ๐Ÿ™‚

Oh, btw, I ended up not having to work yesterday. The older 2 children went to work with Daddy again though as there were things that they could still help with and dh didn’t want the distraction – as good has they have been – of the younger ones. It was weird to only have *4* at home! LOL The change in dynamics is really interesting when that happens. C. and E. became the “oldest” and had to assume the responsibilities that come with that. Yes indeedy…very interesting. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I was home all day yesterday and am again today – yay! I’m so glad to be doing the work God has called me to! ๐Ÿ˜€ Don’t get me wrong, I like to do physical work and I love to work with my dh. The added bonus to making some extra $$ is that I still am under my convenantal head!! I’m not off helping get gain for someone who wasn’t given authority over me. Another bonus is that my children get to see excellent work ethic in action and, in this case, got to practice it – also under their convenantal authorities. And while we are adding bonuses, it was more family time that included Daddy…which is lacking often around here since dh generally works looong hours the majority of the time (obviously, without us).

As positive as all that is though, I still know without a doubt that my work at and in my HOME is the work the Lord has ultimately given me.

The aged women…That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. Titus 2:3-5

While I know that I was in obedience to my own husband, there is satisfaction and PEACE when I am in obedience to my Father in Heaven and, while experience shouldn’t be the rule by which we govern ourselves, it’s hard to ignore when it’s been so strongly reinforced! The previous scripture is enough…but that tangible evidence sure is nice! ๐Ÿ™‚
