6/21/06 P. says “Daw-lee” very clearly 3x while playing with her two favorite small ones with Mama!! (Dolly) πŸ™‚

6/23/06 P.’s 5th tooth is in! (upper left lateral incisor)

We have been flat out crazy busy making ulus and stands. Dh has been occasionally helping with the Downtown Market set-up and sometimes take-down. Otherwise, it’s just been knives, knives, knives. He has me out in the shop too. You could officially call me “Assistant Knife Maker.” LOL Toward the end of the month graduated from just assembling handles to working the sanding belt shaping handle ends and stands. Oooo, my arms, shoulders and neck are killing me!! Should tone up those flabby upper arms though…what a bonus! πŸ˜‰

Anyway, to say that the business has been occupying the majority of our time would be an understatement. That’s good in a way…we’ve been struggling with it the last few years and God’s timing couldn’t have been more perfect. I’ve hardly had time to wrap up the straggling ends of the children’s school work though and I get a bit concerned about how this coming round of focused academics will fair if I have to continue in the shop so much. As my dh is fond of saying, “We’ll cross that bridge when we come to it.” I’ve another month or so to leave it at the back of my mind…

I’ve added a bit to my business plate too (as if the above wasn’t enough πŸ™„ {sheepish grin} ) as of the last day of June making wedding favor tissue covers for my s-i-l’s home business in my spare moments. (ha-ha-ha) It actually will be “a few here and a few there” literally as I’m doing it just to help her keep ahead in her inventory. It will satisfy those “urges” to sew without being daunting…sort of the instant gradification idea as each one only takes a couple of minutes and I can make as few or as many as I want (or have time for) in one sitting.

See above.

That’s all. Not a very exciting month. When I’m not working in the shop, I’m cleaning, doing laundry, keeping the children on task with their chores, reading aloud and trying desperately to enjoy the good weather outside with them. The life of a Sah-Wah Mama! πŸ™‚ Even when it’s tough…it’s great! πŸ˜€
