Children/Health

3/08/07 Home visit from the midwives!

Stats: 35.4 wks, no weight ck, protein/glucose – none, specific gravity/ph – 005/5, blood pressure – 114/68, fundus – 35 ½ – right on the money again!, fetal heart rate – 136, presentation – ROA.

Got the “birth box” too…although, this time it’s a “birth bag” as the midwife didn’t have a small box available. I have plenty of small boxes so I’ll transfer this stuff into one and then add the other things we need.

3/22/07 Appt. with the midwife was a home visist again as she doesn’t have many people to see these days as she is going out of state soon. Also, we met the replacement midwife today.

Stats: 37.5 weeks, no weight ck, p/g – none, s.g./ph – 010/5, bp – 140/76, fundus – 38 &12frac; (could this mean I’ll go early?! one can only hope…), fht – 130’s, presentation – ROP.

3/26/07 Our youngest son turns 4 years old today! Oh, time slips by sooo fast…

3/29/07 Midwife appt. (home) with new midwife and old apprentice. πŸ˜‰

Stats: 38.5 weeks, no weight ck, p/g – none, s.g./ph – 1015/5, bp – 126/76, fundus – 39, fht – 140’s, presentation – ROT, trace keytones! (could mean “something” is happening – yay! πŸ™‚ )

3/31/07 39 weeks and hoping, hoping, hoping baby #7 is early like it’s previous sibling!!! And, some belly pics! (Actually, taken 2 days ago with a regular 35mm camera as our digi broke on the 16th. Thought I’d mention it though for my records so I can accurately date them when I get the roll developed.)

P.’s words (has been using some of these for a while but they are cute to me and don’t want to forget them) – “wawa” (water), “blanna” (banana), “whyah” (as in biggest sister πŸ˜‰ ), “nana” (as in second biggest sister πŸ˜€ ), “pello” (pillow).

Weather

3/07/07 Snow = 4 1/2 ”

3/21/07 Snow 1 ” on the first day of Spring…haha, very funny. 😐

3/22/07 Snow 1 ” on the second day of Spring…more laughter – NOT. 😐

Mostly, this month was spent just “maintaining.” I was so big and heavy and painful (hip) that I couldn’t do much. I relied a lot on my older daughters in the kitchen and laundry and with their younger sister (taking her to the bathroom, helping her dress in the morning, etc.) Some of our friends from church brought over a couple of meals in the last week and that was a tremendous blessing! School was pretty much on hold too. Just doing some history reading with all the children and those who had math packets or workbooks did those here and there. We started P. potty training…not sure exactly why I thought that would be such a grand idea at *this* time…but I guess I just didn’t like the thought of two in diapers at once. It’s been going pretty well. Some days no accidents…some more than we’d like.

That wraps up March! πŸ™‚
