A Family of 11 shares their life in The Last Frontier

Hey, Tamara! Thank you for your email about Alaska! We are already looking at going back again next summer! What is it like this time of year? Congratulations on the little one! Our youngest is 8 mos and I *love* this stage! I saw that you’re using Paperback swap–do you enjoy it? Is it really time consuming?

Thanks for stopping in Lisa and “You’re welcome!” Be sure to get in touch with us if you are in our area. It would be fun to meet up for tea or something. 🙂
Starting in October the temps are getting pretty nippy. It’s been freezing or a little below most nights now. It’s been in the mid to hi 30s during the day even stretching into the mid 40s which is a little unusual. We’ve had a couple of small snow falls but, with the temps we’ve had, most of it has melted and we just have frozen bare ground. I’m sure by the end of the month we’ll get quite a bit that will be here to stay…and more…and more! LOL
I remember you being due a few months ahead of me! I love this stage too as well as the newborn and older baby stages. The older I get the more I cherish them/try not to take them for granted. I’m so thankful God has given me so many “chances” to do so. 🙂
Yes, I started using PaperbackSwap this past month and your comment reminded me that I had a post about it languishing in draft format. LOL 😉 So far, I’ve received one request and sent it off. Haven’t made a request myself yet. Seems pretty easy to me and a great idea. Funny thing is, the request is going to someone on my blogroll which I didn’t know until I printed off the label! Small world… Not too time consuming although that would depend on how many books you were listing. I’ve just listed two or three at a time as I came acrossed them while weeding out our bookcases. If you decide to join, I’ll tell you the email address I use for it because it’s not the same as the one we corresponded with. LMK Here’s the blurb from their site:
Every time you refer someone to PaperBackSwap and they sign up, post 9 or more books and list your email address as the person who referred them, you’ll receive an extra book credit from us as a way of saying thanks!
I’d sure like to be able to request another book. Also, you will receive 3 credits just for listing those first 9 books! Cool huh?! 😉
Well, gotta run. It’s my bedtime…earlier for a change. 😀 Feel free to write any time.
