Children & Education

1/15 E. read and completed his first full “story” in the First Steps Pathway Primer! Ahhh, four children successfully taught to read and fluently too! πŸ˜€ I’ve gone slower with E. purposely because of his “mirror writing” and we haven’t had any trouble with him “not getting it.” He does still write backwards occasionally but we’ve patiently shown him how it’s “supposed” to be done and he has diligently, and on his own been motivated to, practice with copywork. It hasn’t taken a lot of work – just here and there in the normal course of our days. Living and learning go great together! We still love homeschooling! πŸ™‚

Celebrations

1/23 My Bday! πŸ™‚

Weather

1/07 20°F and snow

1/08 15°F and snow

1/09 14°F and snow

1/10 14°F and snow, total snow from 1/7 – 1/10 = 8 ½ ”

1/21 Snow 6 ½ ”

1/25 Snow 2 &#189 ”

1/28 Snow (I didn’t get a measurement but it was probably about a half inch to an inch.)

Snow Total = 18 “

A rather uneventful month but it was good for things to slow down from the holidays and get into a comfortable routine again with school, etc. πŸ™‚

‘Til next time,
~Tamara
